At what point should a cheer co cancel the competition? This is ridiculous. Thank you! I totally agree. These companies that have 100 nationals are out of control (Yes, you too JAMFest)! Hip, hip, horray for the companies that are bold enough to only call ONE of their competitions "Nationals"!
Before you jump on mardi Gras for not having enough people for their nationals, get to the know the owners of this competition company. I was lucky to have a long conversation with them and found out a lot information. As they are survivors of Hurricane Katrina. So please, let them continue what they do, they are great people and try to give the kids a a part of mardi gras that they dont get in their home town. Peace, love, and respect.

I would NOT lump Jamfest with them......they have different Nationals so that those who can not afford to fly across the counrty can have one in their back yard!
We went to Mardi Gras last year and loved it, and we asked them NOT to have it on the same weekend as Jamfest and Jamz.....they did not change it and look what happened.

Definitely not a good move on their part. But you know gymstars and gold star took those titles and ran with them, as a parent i am glad we went to an actual nationals with teams to compete against, even if we didn't win, it was a competition,I would take that anyday over this one.

I like JAMFest events. I just don't like that they have to call so many of their competitions "Nationals". There are plenty of competition companies spread accross the country that all regions in the U.S. can have a nationals in their "backyard". There would be plenty of nationals available to attend. People still attend local events for NCA, UCA, USA, JAMZ, CHEERSPORT, etc. (Just to mention a few) and they only call one of their competitions "Nationals". I guess I am just old school. I come from a sport where there was one national championship and if you won it it meant something. In my mind it doesn't anymore. Just my opinion.
