How young is too young?

What is the proper age of a child to compete at a level 5?

- Junior level 5

-Senior level 5

Do you make judgement by age, skill or mentality? If skill, by stunting or tumbling?

Skill, then age.  USASF already has guidelines in place for ages, although I know that not all competitions belong to USASF.  It would be nice if stunting and tumbling could both be level 5; however, if they have one and the coach needs it, then whichever the athlete has and the coach needs.

Take my opinion for what is it...a forced out of cheer parent. ;)

well it just depends on the kid and the gym... some gyms have youth level 5 teams... stingray youth 5 is pretty amazing... but that is stingray, i dont think a youth kid should be put on a senior 5 if that is the only level 5 team in the gym.
