Congrats to power and who ever they partnered up with. Now lets not talk bad about these teams or what they have decided to do.

why partner up? if you want to be a level 5 cheerleader for power, why not just join their 5 team? why cheer for another gym on a lower level team as well?

From the Power web site:

Cheer for another program on a lower level.  Yes you heard right!  Cheerleaders from other programs can also be a part of POWER.  EXAMPLE A member can cheer for Cheer X-Plosion on a level 3 team, and also cheer for POWER on our level 5 team provided practice schedules and competition schedules do not interfere with one another.  This will allow very skilled cheerleaders to cheer with their friends at various locations, yet still be able to push their individual skills with POWER.

Yes any gym, but also realized that it has to be ok with your present team as well, John does not want to start any turmoil.  He is just trying to give girls that only have level 3/4 teams in their gym a place to compete level 5.  I think if you are already on a level 5 team, you cant do both, but why would you?

They already have done this policy this year as well. They have kids on their level 5 teams that are on lower levels at other gyms. They have just not advertised it as such. I guess they are this year

I believe so.   I think it's great; it gives these girls a chance to keep their level 5 skills without having to leave their gym.

This seems rather expensive. Even if the gym owners waived tuition theyd still have to pay for uniforms and comp fees plus travel fees since most 5 teams travel.

Why not just do the 5 team instead of both?
