scoring standard for bid comps

I feel that their needs to be a standard with the scoring system.  I dont just mean the score sheet.  I mean the scoring rubrics too.  You should be able to look at a routine and be able to know what each team should get for difficulty, just like in diving or gym.  Obviously other parts of the score sheet are up to judges preference such as dance, choreography and perfection of skill but it should be standard for the actual skills.

I think without this we will always have people feel that the judging at some of these events are not fair.  I you show up to compete for a worlds bid and you only have five fulls, you should know what difficulty score you will get same as if your whole team throws two to fulls.  Has there been any discussion of something like this with the USASF?

I also think their needs to be panels of USASF judges.  They are only allowed to work for USASF and fly around the country judging at USASF sanctioned events.  This would eliminate the complaints of "Coach Susie" works for #1CheerCo. where she is a judge at their competitions and she coaches best of the west all stars who only compete at #1CheerCo.  There can be many USASF judges so not every competitions outcome is the same.  I know I would love it!!

I think this would be great specifically for the world bids.  I think they need to have a certain level of experience in the levels of 5 and 6 .  This past weekend we were judged by people who own gyms that dont even have level 5 teams and never have had level 5 teams.  Are you serious?

I was reading this and thought about how expensive it might be to do this for certain companies and then I thought to myself that if the USASF wants us to follow all of these rules they should do something for us and pay for qualified judges.  This is what the USAG does as well as any referee in basketball or football.  The host team doesnt pay.  The organization of rules does....that just seems fair.

This would be a great step IMHO to fix the World's process. Since that is what I am used to I realize it makes the most sense to me. What are the downsides of this...besides giving comp companies more say in who receives the bids? Can't USASF set this up?
