End of the season - coaches gifts

Hi All, I am wondering what I should get our gym coaches for our end of year gift.  Any ideas?

If you are a coach, what is the best gift you ever received from a cheerleader, parent, co-coach, or gym owner.

Please keep the gym names out of this post.  I don't any coaches jumping to another gym because of the great gifts (smily wink).

Our coach is a male and he likes gift cards.  Thank goodness.  It makes it so much easier.  No Starbucks, though.

Agree about no Starbucks.  At this point I have about 2 years worth of Starbucks cards already, so maybe I will need more in 2 more years.

We have given our coach one the picture frames from a competition and included pictures of the athletes and pictures of the coach.  We hav also done tiffany bracelet, movie passes, gift cards.  One thing I found recently was a 'photo' blanket that you could put a picture of the team on....looks pretty nice.

Nicole sounds like a great coach. If I lived closer I would place my child on her team.

I agree, I think this is a wonderful idea!!   I need to check into it.  If anyone has any details we'd appreciate it.

We will not be giving our coach's one thing. That would be rewarding bad behavior. I'm sorry to post this, I know we try and keep things positive. I just had to do it.

I am a coach and the best gifts are the parents and the kids giving hugs and telling funny memories from the season.  I know this sounds crazy but we sometimes forget funny moments that happened or a challenge that we may have helped get someone through (but didn't necessarily know it).  Also, the biggest gift and compliment - sign up for our team again.

Just my thoughts.

sounds like a bad situation ---  maybe the best gift you can give yourself and your coaches is to find another gym?   I would let your coaches know the problems so others don't have to suffer next season.

Thank you for the good advise, That is exactly what I plain to do. As for letting the coaches, and owner know. I have talked to them, many times.

I know most of the cheer coaches are great. I just have to go to where they are.

I've gotten lots of great gifts over the years. Gift cards are always good, I agree with Megan, you can't really go wrong there. I have gotten a lot of Starbucks cards (especially during the holidays) but they're always welcome - I can't remember the last time I had to pay at Starbucks, and it's nice to treat family and friends too when they're with me. One year two girls went together and got me a day spa gift certificate, that was awesome! A girl who knows me very well once got me a card to Sephora. Framed photos, really nice photo albums...another memorable one was a pink Coach wallet (get it? hehe...)

I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of things but those are ones that come to mind right off the top of my head.

As a coach, I have recieved many gift cards-which I am very honored to have received.  Heck, my $200 in Starbucks are spent...please, my body can not take anymore caffine.

Parents, I thank you for wanting to give us coaches gifts.  To be honest, save your money...cheerleading is so expensive.  I would rather you make sure your child returns.  Sign them up with privates with your coach.

My favorite gift is a calnedar from one of my kids with their pictures.  I think they new  secretly how much I like to be able to see the dates on a calendar as well.

Love the blanket idea with pictures-that is so thoughtful and memorable!
