I have a question. I would loveeeee to be cheer coach. Its in my blood. I'm going to be a senior in highschool & have been cheering for 7 years. Anyone have advice on how to get started :)
Youth programs are fun to start with. Or start approching all star gym to see if they have any open positions. Good luck! I always love to see my girls graduate on to coaching.
Im a senior In high school. Ive cheered for 7 years and ive coached youth programs for 5 yaers. I alos have alot of other experience whit children. I coach softball, work at a child care, and im in a program where in an assistant teacher at an elementary school.
What kinds of other things do you look for when selecting a new coach?
If you still cheer at an allstar gym, try asking the owners for a job coaching a smaller younger team at your gym. You can move up from there. If you are not still at an allstar gym, try emailing several gyms in your area and seeing if they have any coaching positions available.
