Favorite Competitions

With so many different companies to choose from I was wondering what were everyones (cheerleaders, coaches and parents) favorite competitions and why?

Spirit Sports and American Championships - They are generally the biggest and best oraganized competitions on the West Coast.

I liked America's Best and Athletic Championships (there's similar named ones, so I hope I got the name right - it's the one held in San Mateo).

My favorite competitions after being a cheer mom for almost 17 years.  I will have to go with Athletic Championship hands down. Love everything about their orginization  and CHEERGYMS Spirit Spectacular, which is well ran for a small competition but they host and run it like a major comp. and theystay on schedule with no cha cha slid fillers etc.
love both these orginizations and hope to attend year after year

1. American Championships ( Judging system and organization)
2. Athletic Championships (All around great staff and competition)
3. Jamfest
4. Americas Best

Everything else is just about the same. Either overpriced, unorganized, weird score sheet, to much for parents fees, or just not a good competition.

Worst venues in the Northern California are Marine World, Cow Palace, and the San Jose Civic Center.

Love UOP, SAn Jose Convention Center, and Sacramento Convention Center.

Hands down...Jamfest. Hate Jammy though...he scares too many of my kids...even my Seniors. They ran off the floor during awards last weekend when he came out...rofl!

I agree -- JAMFEST. Althougth (hotly debated topic earlier) -- JAMZ -Vegas (when it was a the Alladin) was kind of fun too -- but maybe thats because it was our first big out of town comp and my daughters first big win.

I really loved cheergyms spirit spectacular as.  It was well ran.  I liked the comp. at UOP they stayed on task as well.  I can not remember the name of the venue in San Francisco.  I really enjoyed it as well (Lots of seating)smile

I didn't care for the combining of divisions at spirit spectacular.  Maybe if they  have a better turnout next season teams will be in their appropriate categories (especially large vs. small, I'm not a fan of combining them).   Other than that it was fun to attend and nicely run.
