what to pack

with january coming to a close, february is just around the corner starting up the Nationals portion of most peoples cheer seasons. Cheersport and nca are 20 days away which means teams will probably be leaving in 18-19 days. This is going to approach us all faster than we may think, so i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread about "what to pack" on these long excursions we take to get to nationals events. whether you are driving or flying, carrying on or cargo, i hope that everyone will have something to add to a list for everything. I have started a list for carry on bags on the plane and hope people will add more, or have suggestions as what to pack. i hope this thread will help everybody remember what to pack in each bag.

Uniform- top, shorts, spankies, white no-show socks, correct bra, cheer shoesWarm ups- competition shirt, jacket, pantsExtra underwearTravel toothpaste and toothbrush-anything larger will be thrown in the trash.Cheer make-upHair- curlers, brush, comb, bandana, bowTravel baby wipes/wetones/makeup remover wipes

Phone charger

Funny thing I was just reading the December 2007 edition of American Cheerleader and there is a wonderful article about this very topic.  Some of the items they had listed were as follows:

Uniform(s)
Paperwork ( i.e. hotel,
flight, medical info, schedule
photo ID)
Warm Ups and Practice Clothing
Sports Bra(s), underwear, Bloomers and spankies
Socks ( no show )
Cheer and practice shoes
PJ's
Bobby Pins and Ponytail Holders
Hairspray and brush or comb
Facial wipes
Bottled water
healthy snacks ( i.e. granola bars, trail mix )
Safety pins
competition Makeup, Glitter and Hair bows
Pillow and Blanket
Camera, batteries and film ( memory card )
Good luck charm
Cash and or travelers checks
sunscreen
toiletries
medicines
Fun Extra ( i.e cards, games, music, dvd player )
Bathing suit and flip flops

I would also add to this list

Teammates cell phone numbers
Coaches cell phone numbers
emergency contacts
Contact lense wash/rinse
extra shoe laces
Lotion
gum/mouthwash
sewing kit

and plenty of patience and cheer spirit!!!

Aspirin and ear plugs (edited: trust me you can still hear everything, but hopefully at a reduced level thus not needing the aspirin)
