This comp was intense! Pacific Coast large Sr. 4 coed (30 members, inc. 5 boys) went up against Fierce small all girl. (20 members) The scores were SO close. Pacific Coast 8.69 Fierce 8.66 Everyone was on the edge of their seats, no one really could say who was going to win. It was amazing, and you could feel it. It was definitely some great competition, and both teams were so talented as well as having SO much energy. Definitely kept everyone wondering the entire day. Here are the standings that I have.
Tiny L1: 1. Rocket AS
Mini L1: 1. Pacific Coast 2. Fierce 3. Rocket AS 4. Action AS 5. Flipz

Sr. Open 4 (large coed & small all girl were combined) 1. Pacific Coast 2. Fierce
Why would they put large coed and small all girl against each other? I'm hoping you're going to say it was the coaches idea and not the competition company.
Sr. Open 4 (large coed & small all girl were combined) 1. Pacific Coast 2. Fierce

well werent they in the senior open division? you can have up to 36 people and up to 4 males. maybe there were less than 5 guys or they just let it go so they could have some competition.
i dont know if this is true but it seems like some competition companies put people in the senior open division when that wasnt what they signed up for just to put the teams together anyways so theyd have competition. like for another competition my team has, i know we are large senior but they put us as senior open (we definitely do not have anyone under 10) and on the schedule theres no one in the large sr division
Good question Im going to assume it was because Pacific Coast and Fierce wouldn't have had any other team to compete against. I think they combine large and small if there isn't more than two teams for each division. Its was an intense competition between the two, and both teams were amazing, and definitely made the other work for that 1st place. That is what I call serious competition, and thats what Its all about. And no, Fierce isn't an "open" team. Pc had 5 boys on their team, but again, both teams didn't have anyone else to compete against. No complaints here, our girls went out there and cheered their little hearts out, and they were amazing. We are all very proud of them.
I believe the rule is if there are two or less in a division large and small will be combined. The open divisions give a lot of flexibility as to what you can have.. so even if you are a team going open because of the age of one or two girls, you can end up going against a large coed team. Sounds like the match was exciting to watch!
