Assessing your teams

Now that the season is close to halfway over for some gyms, is now a good time to look at your team and decide which direction to go?  We have lost a couple guys and one girl due to injuries and personal issues, and the motivation to keep pushing at a higher level does not seem to be there.  If we were to choose a true level today based on the talent we currently have, realistically we should drop a level.  It is a tough call because you want to challenge your team, but you also want to be realistic and have them compete with other teams that match your skills.  With only a handful of competitions left, is now the time to make a move?  Just wondering what others thought and if they find themselves in a similar situation.  Also can we please keep this topic general and not mention specific gyms?  I assure you my gym is not any of the gyms previously mentioned.  As a matter of fact I've never seen our gym mentioned, and that is a good thing I think.  smile.gif

Tough call here.  What was the premise in which the cheerleaders and families signed up for?  Was it that you were going to offer this level team and they trusted that and ended up signing up with your team rather than another team?  If this is the case then stay at the same level.  Your customers do not want to be dooped into something that you cant provide them.   I know I wouldn't return to a gym that said one thing and then changed their minds mid season. OR if the parents and cheerleader aren't concerned, and you know that all your cheerleaders will return next season, and all they want is a easy win, then move down.
