Did anyone notice ALOT of teams are starting to get their music professionally done, and this past weekend their were some pretty awesome mixes. My personal fav was Cali Coed's music-AMAZING!
Seems weird but what I enjoyed was some teams (and I think it was only two) used only one or two songs. It was really nice, you got to hear the verse and the chorus of the sond.
I hate mixes sometimes because right when you get to the best part of a song it changes to a new one.

I'm with you on this one. LOVED their music! What were some other favorites?
I loved NorCal Elites Sm Senior Dance! It's my all time favorite 2nd to powers last year. Oooo... and NorCals Coed dance had some fun parts, but it was really short!

Not being biased or anything, but I absolutely love our (Fierce) music this year. I also loved Powers too. Although, I did notice that many gyms seem to have a lot of the same songs. But, I like to see how other gyms use the "same" songs, but in different parts of their routines...
i think CA had the best music. especially their large coed team. it was such an up tempo piece and i love the unique sections with the raps made specifically for their teams. i think that is soo awesome and makes the music so unique
I loved the slodier boy part in the California Allstar's pyramid section of their routine. It gave a really dramatic effect and its deffinatly a californian song.
I think the music is just as much of a performance as is the choreography, the tumbling passes or the basket tosses. Music should invite the crowd to become involved, take notice, clap and sing along if you know the words. The music should grab you, carry you along and then when its over drop you like a bomb and when it is all over if you feel that slight chill then you know you have seen and heard a wonderful performance. I dont envy the job of a coach when it comes to choosing the music but so far from what I have seen everyone deserves a huge pat on their backs for the outstanding work that has been put out there so far!! So Keep doing what you do and I'll keep clapping and singing along and maybe just maybe I will feel that chill!!!
