Great work to all of the all star teams who performed this morning! Some amazing talent. Some stand out performances:
Green tutu dancers...I can't remember which program they represent, but they were amazing! They looked like they were having the time of their lives!
Starstruch Senior level 4, I really enjoy their routine. Their angles are so clean and the opening ripple of front stretches are very impressive.
Airborne Senior Open level 2 & 3, both of these teams have really creative routines. I especially like the stunt choreography, and so did the judges, congrats on the X-treme Stunt Award and Small Program Award!
Legends Senior 3, beautiful as always. Love their uniforms and solid stunting technique.
One thing that I did not like about this competition was that the teams were piling up five and six teams deep before performing, getting cold, and it was super cold at the Cow Palace this morning. Just a thought for competition directors; create a schedule where teams get off the last warm-up mat, wait five to seven minutes tops, and take the floor. You wouldn't expect a professional pitcher to warm-up his arm in the first inning and not take the mound until the third or fourth, and so cheer athletes should not be expected to warm-up stunts, tumbling and jumps then stand on cold sement for twenty minutes.

I like to joke that they are a 3.5. The true stunting level is 4/5 and the true tumbling level is 3. But they normally compete in level 3. There was no one else in coed 3 this time around, so we decided to have a little fun with it, and the kids had a great time.
I think it's great to have a little fun or do something different when there is no competition, or to just go exhibition only since winning first really means nothing unfortunately.
I really enjoyed the Youth Level 2 division. There were some really good teams. I thought both Gold Star and Cal Spirit Youth were great. I was also really impressed by Legends what a great routine. It was the first time I've seen them perform and I was really impressed good job. The Silver Spirit All Star Mini's rocked the house. They were adorable.
Aw, thanks for the kind words. Really, we were just looking to have a little fun since there was no one else in our division. And it was really nice for our coaches, who are mega-talented, to get out there and show off what they can do.
