The subject was open senior 4 and which teams are in that division and so far we only heard of one, are there really no others in the area?
You should not underestimate any of these teams switching to open for a single competition here or there. OR any of the comps you go to where these teams will be against your team due to there not being an "open" category. What area are you in and what team are you on and what comps do you plan to go to?
HUH? Why so defensive??? It's a fair and simple question.. who has a senior open level 4 team this season. It doesn't appear to be a popular division, i.e., no competition in that division, for some reason.

agree the question was simply who is fielding open senior level 4. This doesnt have anything to do with just one particular team or anything just wanted to see who is competing that level just like other post ask who is competing level 5 etc just a simple question no need to start drama or look more into the question ok we know ucf has open level 4 at least they did at last competition anyone else
Well thats not a good response. Large coed 5 doesn't have any competition either, but its good to know the area your in so you can possibly get some competition. Its cheerleading not the FBI.
I think the whole idea of the open division is obsurd. Take for instance a team that could do very well and belongs in level 3 but wants to go level 4 instead so they have to pull 8 year olds from their Juniors team to pull it off. Why??
Not just that but they might also end up putting themselves in a division that appears to have no competition. If there is no other place for the eight year olds I can understand, but not if they are already on a team.

Obviously there is a need for it because there is one. People who ask dumb questions deserve dumb answers.
In Northern California there is a small amount of gyms who field level 3,4 or even maybe 5 junior and/or youth teams. So unless all these people who are "complaining" about the open division have a many younger kids with tucks/layouts then I suggest you accept the division for what it is.

The younger girls on the UCF Open team have level 4 tumbling skills which is why they are on the team.
I'm sure there are valid reasons for putting a team in an open category. I think the point some are making is that by doing so they are likely to be without any competition. Many of us talk on this board about how we hate not having any competition, especially when we pay expensive competition fees. Adding even more divisions does not help this cause. Something tells me these small gyms would do just fine if these open divisions became obsolete.
