So I like the fact that everyone (maybe a few didn't) did layouts on a level 4 team. That's awesome. Also, standing tucks.

I still think POWER would take it...maybe because I'm such a huge POWER fan...but man, near perfection most times. I wonder how John breeds his athletes? hehe

=)

Agree that this is a great Level 4 team. Now...don't shoot me...but this is a perfect example of layouts not being layouts, but pikes. So, how would a judge score this? I would assume they would get full credit for doing all those "layouts" although the technique was not "good". Don't agree with that, but in the cheer world I think judges would consider these "great" layouts and not give any deductions for the lack of technique.

Ok, I'm ready to take the hits.

My daughter and I were sitting here going "Wow!", "Nice", "That was cute", "Wow!", "Wow!", "That was awesome", "Wow!"

And I agree with WW.  With everything else being perfection, when the layouts came it was a little "aww, I was expecting true layouts".  But, I still loved it.

Very true WW. I agree....then we are sitting here in CA just counting team's fulls instead of seeing which are acutally done properly.....shame on us! hehe jk. I guess it's not EVERYONE, but a majority of us. I have seen many CA teams who consider themselves to have 5 fulls, but only 1 of those is actually pretty....agree?

Yes many of those are piked layouts, but the point is they at least had above average technique, NOT perfect technique. In addition they had minimal hands down and thats what they are looking for. I mean if your going to start talking technique you can do that for ALL of cheerleading including jumps, dance, motions, set ins and outs, full downs, double downs, full twists, backhandsprings with your legs straight. The list goes on and on, in addition to the things you have to look for. just food for though.
