Just wanted to pass on to those that know Jennifer Dunn, headcoach for American Cheer, that she had emergancy surgery Thursady morning and is undergoing a second surgery today (Saturday). She had a twisted intestine that caused some very serious problems. She is in ICU.
She has been sedated since Thursday, but her vital signs have all improved and her family and doctors feel good about her progress.
All-star cheer is a small world and I know many of you know Jennifer and would want to know about her condition. Her family asks that you pray that things go well and she recovers quickly.
GREAT NEWS.Ms. Dunn went into surgery at noon today (Saturday) and 30 minutes later the doctor came out and gave us the good news that Jennifers intestines had not been damaged and none of it had to be removed! This was the best news we could have hoped for!
While she is not completely out of the woods yet, we have every reason to believe she will recover fully without any further complication. She is back in her ICU room where she may be for several more days. Her family thanks everyone for their prayers and would ask for more prayer for a fast and complete recovery for Jennifer.
Please continue to not visit or call them at the hospital until she is out of ICU.She, and her family, need their rest.
Jennifer's recovery is going great. She is now off the respirator. She also was allowed to wake up alittle yestrday and communicate some with her mom before sleeping more. We are cautionously optimisitic of a good recovery. Thanks for your prayers.
