The AA kids were tumbling here at the Motions Gym, a few miles from the epicenter (Alum Rock). We felt it...well, the kids did. I didn't at all...it was kind of funny. They all started running towards me because they were standing near one of the big roll up doors and it was shaking as if someone was outside shaking it. Then they ran outside while the parents inside were cowering under one of the door frames.
The whole time I'm standing there going, "what is wrong with everyone?". Seriously didn't feel it at all...probably because I was on a foam block floor that absorbed all the shaking.
But everyone here is ok!

I know it's not funny and I'm glad everyone is ok, but Nelson you made me laugh. It only lasted for about 30 seconds and no damage has been reported. For a 5.6 it was a pretty good jolt.

Do you think the earth quake might be a sign because of the Jamfest Competition this Saturday. We're going to Shake Rattle and Roll... It's going to be an awesome competition!

Yea. My Sr. team was practicing at the AP gym in Tracy, and we had to evacuate the gym for like ten minutes. Some of the girls said they say the trophies shaking a bit, but we were in the middle of the routine so i didnt feel a thing. It was a pretty eventfull practice!! but then we went back in and ran routines...lol. So excited for Saturday!!! ;)
Rockets were stunting during the earthquake, They wee oblivious to the earthquake. All of us in the lobby were watching them to see their reaction and they had no clue, it was pretty funny!

yeah, imagine all 30 of us standing outside in the cold and our practice clothes! I bet that would've been a funny thing to see. And the best part of the whole thing was that we were running the routine, and the earthquake happened during JUMPS! Of all time, haha. No one knew it was an earthquake, we all just thought we were landing off count.
