Who's got them? I want to see some of the new uniforms and routines! Anyone have any videos or pictures to post from last weekends comps? Will Power be posting videos
I took some video at Jamz on Sunday. I think I have CO's Senior Coed and a few others. I'll try to upload them on You Tube as soon as a get the chance. Would love to see videos from the Power Comp.
I tried copy and pasting the you tube url you have on here but it won't work. It brings me to a page with different you tubes. Can someone please tell me how I can see the Cheer Oydessy you tubes.

What is the difference between Comets and Rockets. I only saw 5 recycled fulls. Why not make one Large Limited Coed 4. They would have a lot more competition at Limited Coed 4 with 36. Cheer Divas, Motions etc.
I also thought that it would make sense to do that too. With so little fulls it is going to be hard to do well at level 5. Also, at level 5 you better be doing multple jumps into tucks. At level 4, Rockets would be unstopable for sure
I agree. Nothing against CO as it sounds like they are really enjoying themselves, but we've seen what level 5 teams should look like with the likes of power, motions, pyramids and nor cal. CO didnt compete any doubles, very few fulls, no jumps with tucks, no 2man stunts, etc.
They would definitely fit better in 4. Not be unstobbale, but be competitive. If they ever go against the local small coed 5 teams I dont think they would match up at all.
Rockets had the same issues last year. They were entertaining, but the skills were more at level 4 than 5. I remember hearing that from CO parents as well. Just a thought. Whatever they decide they'll still be entertaining.
Eventhough they recycled some fulls I think that routine has major potential. I think that they just need to work on the jumps to tucks. I need to watch it again but I feel like Level 4 had more standing tucks then level 5. Maybe I missed the tuck section on level 5.

They are also competing in the Small Coed Small division. They only have 20 people on the floor. I wouldnt mind competing against them since we are small senior 5. I think that even though guys are on the team that an all girl team could hang with them.

as one of the coaches responsible for the CO Rockets routine I most definitely considered everyones input.
this season our gym definitely tried to make teams that would not only foster a fun, appropriate social environment for our atheletes, but one in which atheletes could progress in skills, be challenged, and utilize their time in our gym as something positive for their future.
Although winning is nice, and combining teams or dropping levels would increase our probable chances to place at competitions, I would much rather challenge the kids and atleast provide them with the opportunity to get better, and in that case, an arena to showcase and practice those skills, regardless the final standings.
From level 1 to level 5, i hope all of our atheletes progress in their skills, and I can only hope they feel their hardwork has been justified.
once again thanks so much for all your comments, good luck this year.
I think the person who is unhappy with her gym because she feels they are in the wrong level needs to read your post. It's nice to see both sides of the issue! I'll be honest and say I have a lot more respect for gyms that push themselves than for those who take the easier route and the guaranteed wins.
