In My Area: I've only heard rumors, but from what I hear NCE's facility is pretty sweet. I can't remember all the details, but I was like "They have what?! Wow!"

Extended Out of My Area: Cheer Athletics - AIR CONDITIONING! (yea, I know you can say it's required in Texas, but after years of seeing the red, puffy, dripping sweaty faces I say it's required here too! :) ), 40,000 square feet of gym space - this is stated on their webpage. Now I'm going off of memory from a couple years back when I saw a floor plan: a homework room, a work-out room, was there a tanning room?, a doctors office, a mock competition floor, I'm sure there was more but that's off the top of my head.

Last night we attended the showcase at CSE and their gym is off the chain...They have vending machines, bleachers for the parents. I really like the wall of pics..... Good luck this year!!!

I really like CSE's gym.  It's so big.  I also liked the picture wall, and the stripes that go around all the walls.  Pretty nice.

Thank you so much for the compliments about our gym. Sometimes I think all gyms our like ours, but I know we are lucky to be blessed with such a nice area, equipment, and gym. If you went to the exhibition/showcase, we just got those speakers. I am so sad now that we didn't do the showcase, but we will see everyone at Jamfest!!

Other than our gym, I would say that Cheer Athletics/Stingrays are very very nice gyms. The epitome of cheerleading and athletics.

To be honest, my team could practice in a dump (with safe equiptment) and I'd be happy. We don't see where the teams practice, we see what they put on the floor.....Better gyms just mean the parent's pay more...unless you are Cheer Athletics and you have hundreds of athletes to keep a place like that running....But, for California, I don't think anyone has a HUGE enough team to worry about a state-of-the-art facility....just keep the cost down, the kids and parents happy, and have a safe and successful year...

I mean come on, do you go around asking the kids on your team if they live in an apartment, trailerpark or mansion? Does it really make a difference to who they are on the inside? Nah.

Take gymnastics for example...Russia has some of the crapiest gyms yet they bring about some of the worlds best gymnasts!!! weirdface

I agree that Cheer Athletics has the best gym in the country, however my roommate Chris (from CA Wildcats 06-07) and I were just reading the posts and he says that CA no longer has tanning beds, trainers, or a doctors office . Although, they did have each of these things at their old facility! smile They also used to have locker rooms, weight rooms, and a team lounge!

The real trick, and, the sign of a well run business is having a nice gym with all the amenities while keeping the competitive. If you look around you will see that some of the better prices in the all star business are from gyms that have very nice facilities. Also, some of the more expensive programs have not so nice facilites. Go figure!

Unfortunatly I have to disagree.  I went from a higher price gym to a lower price gym.  The lower price gym was larger had more to offer and much more ammenities. I think it has to do with the budget and how much money they bring in and allocate to facilities.  Also I think it has to do with how long you have been established as you grow you get more.  Our gym is a good price and it great pricing.
