I know that most kids are still in school but I was curious about what age most All Star Cheerleaders start cheering and if most started out on thier cities youth leagues. Also did most start out doing gymnastics and switch to cheer?
My perosonal experience was that my girls started our local pop warner venue. All-Star cheer wasn't in our area yet. Now I find kids starting directly in All-Star as they have found out about it through their friends...word of mouth is by far the most popular advertising!
Mine started in gymnastics and pop warner. Hated the sun and told me mommy why should the boys get all the attention some people don't even watch us at half time. So we found allstars after 1 year in Pop Warner. She wanted all the attention for her
yeah word of mouth works wonders. we have gotten alot of new ppl just from ppl talking about cheer at school and stuff. or sometimes ppl will come in just for tumbling and then decide to try out the team and join
My little one started on her 4th birthday. This will be her 4th season of All Star Cheer. My niece did pop-warner then moved to All-Stars so we just "skipped" the entire pop-warner thing... but I wouldn't mind if she wanted to do it.... it would save me a ton of money... and I would see her cheer every weekend for over an hour!!! Hey, I am there for my son's games so it would be super easy ...........SO, THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!! My life is al about balancing CHAOS!!
