Hi Everyone, I wanted to ask everyone to please keep the family and friends of Courtney Parker in your thoughts and prayers. Courtney was hit by a car last night and is on life support until her brother can return from his Senior trip
Courtney cheered her whole life. She did it all, Youth football, POWER and Granite Bay HS. As I tried to get to sleep last night I remembered the first time we took a team to Worlds and we were obvioulsy out of our league. In the warm-up room, Courtney looked at me and said," Lisa- Hmmm. This is CRAZY. How did we get here?" We both erupted in giggles right on the warm-up floor. Her sweet, silly always having fun personality stands out the most.
She has the most amazing and most supportive family one could even imagine. They were front row at everyone of her functions. PLEASE keep her wonderful family in your thoughts and prayerd during this time.
Lisa, so sorry to hear about your friend Courtney. Our thoughts and prayers are with you too. Remember the good times, your story about Worlds is precious and brings a smile along with the tears.
I believe I saw this story on the news last night out here. I am heartbroken, what a beautiful girl. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family. :(

Ther will also be a candlelight vigil to celebrate her life at GBHS on Monday June 18th at 8:30 pm. There will be many cheerleaders from diferent schools attending. Bella Vista will be supplying the flowers.
Court was such an amazing girl. She was a dream to coach!! You will be so missed girly.
I was not expecting this at all. As I was reading this to my daughter, tears started pouring down my face and I wasn't able to continue. I am truly sorry for the pain her family and friends are feeling.
Hello All, I have to tell you about this wonderful cheer communbity that we are all a part of. Last night at Granite Bay High School, Bri Larson and several other area coahces organized a grassroots candle light vigil in remembrance of Courntey. It was amazing. There were well over 500 people there and cheerleaders in uniform from at least 10 other programs. Some of Courts family was able to come and witness the articulate and hearfelt stories that so many of Courtney's frineds shared.
The night was such a celebration of Courtney's life. One minute you were crying, the next you were laughing. It was a true testament to the kind of person Court was and it maked you think about what is truly important. Throughout every story one thinged seemed to hold true for Courtney. She lived life to the fullest and was a true friend. She was the kind of girl who was friends with everyone and judged no one. What an inspiration.
I know so mnay people read these boards, so I want to thank Bri and anyone else who had any part of this wonderful night because the celebration of her life was what everyone needed. Please continue to keep Courtnye' family and friends in your hearts and prayers. Her memorial is tomorrow and will be tough for us all.
I guess I definitely need to check in on this message board more often. Although we have heard the news about Courtney, I was completely unaware of the opportunity to attend the candlelight vigil last evening. I truly wish I had had the chance. I am sure she was a wonderful girl, and her loss will be felt for a long time. Let this tragedy be a reminder that our time her, no matter how long, is always fleeting...hug and kiss your loved ones, and enjoy every moment.
You will be missed Courtney... Sincerely, Rebels All Stars Coaches & Staff
I am so sad to hear about this tragedy. I can not imagine or begin to understand what this family is going through. I thought of and prayed for Courtney last night during the time the vigil was happening since I could not be there in person. I saw the picture of her that John put on POWER's website. She was a beautiful vibrant young lady and will be missed by those who knew her and by those of us that did not have the opportunity to meet her.
It's so sad and so unfair that someone this young and full of life should be taken away so soon. I know from having experienced a loss that it will help to think of all the great memories of her and to celebrate everything she did and stood for in her short time here. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
We just got back from vacation and I saw this my heart just dropped. We were without words. It reminds us how life is so precious and sometimes we get carried away with what goes on until something tragic happens like this to make you think hard about life in general. I know when see my kids I give them an extra hug and tell them I love them every time I see them. I cant imagin and am not going to even try to know what her family is going through all we can say is our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family we only wished we were here to pay our respects with everyone else sigh its a sad day. I'm sure God has bigger plans for her we will say a special prayer tonight just for her.
