Hey the new age rules are posted on the USASF webm site. Senior team for the 07-08 season 10-18 yrs as of May 31, 07. The following year it raises to 11-18 yrs. and the year after that 12-18yrs.
So...what do you think about the changes? Are you a small gym with 2-3 younger kids with level 5 skills and and now won't have a team for them at their level?
Personally, I am glad they are changing the age rules and I like the way they are implementing over 3 years. I think it gives gyms time to adjust.
How will this effect your gym? Let us know...

And for Large Coed teams that means they can put up 12 stunts instead of 11 like Cheer Athletics did at 2006 Worlds.
What I really want to see from the state of California is a true Large Coed team that has 24 guys and 12 girls. Anyone have good recruiting ideas? If the rest of the country can do it, why can't we?

Did anyone notice that there are no Junior International divisions listed? Does that mean they are eliminating Junior teams at Worlds or are they going to move the Junior teams out of International and have the same 4 divisions as Seniors (small, large, limited coed, and unlimited coed) for Juniors?

And the Level 6 teams have moved down the age from 18 to 17! Do you think we will see level 6 teams at Worlds? I know they were considering it last year.

I have heard that starting next year they will be having junior teams at worlds...not just the international divisions like now. I don't hve a hard and fast guarantee on that right now...just what I have heard.
