Hey all! I am looking for feedback on what cheer shoes your cheerleaders like the best. I know that there are some preferred by tumblers, some by flyers, etc, but I am looking for the best "all around" cheer shoe. And I am also looking for suggestions for good cheer shoes for guys.
well I don't know if it really helps but the shoes that I think are the best to cheer in are nfinity genisis.. there light weight, easy to stunt, jump and tumble in and everything else.

My son perfers asics canvas girls shoes . There lite wait and good for tumblers. He goes through 2 to 3 pairs a year they aren't made well but he's tried all the shoes out there and out of all of them and likes these the best. He dosen't like the infinity he says they have a weird bump on the sides near the toes and they are to heavy.
I like nfinity genisis the best as well. I've also had the Asics canvas shoes. I used to LOVE those, but I fractured my ankle in them due to the platform it gives. For basing I prefer the nfinity genisis also, they just seem easier to grip.=). Hope this helps. For boys, I hear the puma's are nice, but I wouldn't know.
My daughter tells me she loves the nfinity's; however, as a parent I do not. $70 for shoes that can't even make it through seven on-the-mat-only months...phllluuhhh.
Thanks so much for the input! It makes me wonder about the new Nfinity shoes (Evolution). My Varsity rep says that they are supposed to have all the good qualities of the Genesis, but not fall apart as fast...which was why I never tried the Genesis to begin with. I think I too will get a pair & try them out on my daughter. I really appreciate the info about how bases like the shoe, because that is our major concern. It's one thing to have to wear them, but entirely another to have to hold someone in the air who is wearing them.
Our teams have used the Nike Cheer Energy for 2 years, and we haven't had much complaint, except now they say that they are hard to grip when you are basing. Interesting...
Any more boys out there with suggestions or preferences??? THANKS AGAIN!!!
We've been useing the Nike Stamina's for three years now. I haven't heard any complaints. They have a nice way of making the flyers foot less wide, even if they have wide feet because of how narrow and slim the shoes are made. They are comfy on the inside, light to tumble in. I think they're pretty good. But they're hard to find. Alot of places have discontinued them.

My daughter loves her nfinities. Since cheer is a year round sport, I pick her up two pairs at the beginning of the season. Her feet aren't growing anymore thank goodness. So she wears one pair the beginning of the season, than breaks in the other pair about a month before her first competition. She pretty much has a pair of practice shoes and competition shoes that are more pretty for the rest of the season. Realistically I don't think one pair is sufficient for the amount of time they spend in them.
AP uses the nfinity genesis' too. i really like how light they are but they fall apart so easy!! the soles of like three of my teamate's shoes are falling off, and they had to super glue the sole to their shoe. so i think they are good cheer shoes but i think each athlete should buy 2 pairs per season which can get very expensive. =/
