I am proud of all of you for putting in your hard work for our team. we really came together these two days and pulled off THREE amazing performances.
i want to thank most of all nelson for putting together this wonderful program. And,being a great coach. (you have to give it the guy after all these years he hasnt broke the remote) love ya nelson.
thank you to everyone that supported us,through out this entire year.lets bring home the gold in LA and get top five at worlds.
I have to share what is probably my favorite story of the weekend, told to me by Nikki.
Robert had come up to Nikki shortly before the Super Six performance and told her that he was going to stick all of his passes, not step or rebound but just plain old drill that pass into the ground the way its supposed to be.
As with all cheerleaders who get the opportunity to be highlighted, Robert enjoys giving that little extra when finishing a skill. For some it's a face, maybe a point or even mouthing the words of the song or voiceover. For the Super Six performance, it was a bit different for Robert. After drilling his first pass Robert looked over to Nikki and held up his pointer finger, signifying a "1". After standing up his second pass Robert again looked over at Nikki and held up a "2". After nailing the third Robert looked over and held up a "3".
As Nikki told me this story (as we were both ANXIOUSLY awaiting results from Super Six) both of us were hit by the moment and got a bit misty eyed (yes, even me).
Robert came to us several years back as the brother of one of the girls on our TEAM cheergyms.com program. He was in the gym doing some handstands and Nikki went up to him and told him (not asked) that he was going to be a cheerleader. After some coaxing, he joined. Since then Robert has grown into quite the young man. He is in the gym on almost a daily basis working on improving his skills. He is one of the most coachable athletes I have ever worked with. As talented as he has become and the limitless opportunities he has ahead of him he has remained quite humble.
I know I speak for Nikki when I say it has been an absolute joy to have Robert in this program and have the opportunity to watch him grow into what he has become today. We are very lucky to have him.

ps that remote is a lot tougher than we give it credit for...
