Wow, that's a surprise.  Congrats to cheergyms for acquiring such a fine organization.

Just to clarify. cheergyms.com has not "aquired" AP. We have simply formed a partnership that will help both independent businesses by sharing resources and support systems.

We're really excited about the whole thing!

Here's to a new partnership!  Good luck with your teams next season.

So, how does that work then?  Will the athletes be able to merge together to form a world bid contender for next season?  Or are you sharing your coaching staff?  Gosh, this opens the door for lots of ideas....hummmm?

On a general topic:

Is there any limitations for gyms collaborating to build a "mega" team?  Or do the athletes need to stay under a gym umbrella?  I mean, is there any rule that says your team must comprise of only the athletes in the gyms that are owned by one individual(s)?

If there is no rule, than I see many more partnerships forming in the near future.  Interesting.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know...how will that work?

Yes, just wondering what the difference will be between AP and the other gyms under the cheergyms umbrella (Motions, 720 and Pyramids)?    Will they have a symbol, new uniform, and do the cheergyms chant, or will they continue to operate as they have in the past, except with extra cheergym-type benefits (camps, coaches, etc...)?

Thats what I'd like to know!

Are we avid cheergyms.com posters going to get anymore insight before next season actually begins?

the way Julie explains it on the AP website is we will be sharing resources but not sharing ownership. our members and cheergym.com members will be able to combine to compete for worlds and we will attend camps together. Hope that clears it up a little.

I'm super excited for this! Just this last competition, the crowd was amazing! It really pumped us up to hear everyone out there and i can't wait to see what the teams will be like next season

So AP will still have their AP cheer, their uniforms, etc... and will be like they are now, except they are sharing resources with cheergyms, allowing them to be on the AA team, for instance?

hmmmmmm thats interesting. Based on what was said aboved, (and Please dont take this in a bad or malicious way) but it kind of seems like they are partnering to have a team for worlds. Kind of like "borrowing girls" from another team.

I think we can't assume anything until we see it happen. But then I dont see why northern california teams cant "partner" with eachother to make a n.cali SUPER SQUAD. or visa versa in so cal. A good idea, there's lots of talent when you draw from other teams, but thats what makes it so fun when you attend worlds. To have other teams from your area there to cheer you on. IMO, Its a great idea ... I'm just still not too sure whats really going to happen.

Of course camps and stuff will be a balst. I'd still LOVE to see a california all star camp where we could all get together and meet eachother before the season begins. Just to relax! Wouldn't that be nice?! And all the coaches meeting eachother and hanging out, and the parents!! Wewwwwww, Fierces' parents alone would have a blast!

That would be fun. Someone should look into that!

Geez, Look at me I rambled on and totally changed topics!

It is a business venture that means a lot more than just World's. It is not my place to share all the details but I know how each program benefits from this merger and I know that it is more than just World's. Quite a bit more in fact. Yes, World's comes into play but if it were solely about World's I don't imagine that this merger would have happened.

I have a lot of respect for Athletic Perfection and am looking forward to an incredible year. I can't wait to learn from their incredible staff.
