I think everyone's exhausted! I jotted down some results and got the rest from my niece. Maybe someone can help verify the last few results, she's 90% they are correct. All in all it was a fun day, very organized. I like it when they have several award ceremonies instead of everything at the end. You can see teams getting stronger as we head into Nationals, a lot of impressive performances today. Good job everyone!! I'll only list those with competition, the rest you can see on the schedule.
This was the first time I attended a CheerSport competition. The competition was held to the schedule for the most part. However, the only compliant that I had about the event was the long breaks between each performance. Not that parent support is a bad thing, please don't get me wrong, but when you have to hear POWER's large parent section with those POWER sticks for a good 5 minutes before each of their teams perform, it's enough to drive anyone crazy...including their own parents.
Competition hosts have to really start thinking about two sets of judges to keep someone performing, on the floor, at all times.
There were lots of surprises on the floor this weekend. CWT captured the Senior 3 division, Pyramids snuck past Power in the Youth 2 division, and GymStar Mini's looked fantastic!
The competition is just getting solid as the season progresses. It's going to be a great rest of the year for Northern California between now and April.
I would like to make a suggestion that any comments on Cheersport at UOP be posted under that specific topic. The ??? topic doesn't exactly explain what we are discussing. I've already posted the results over there.

Congradulations to all the teams that performed. I agree about the long breaks between each team performing. But my big complaint was the lights that kept shining into the crowd. Now at first I thought wow neat effects. By the end of the day I was ready to throw something at them. We are talking major headache here. In all I enjoyed the day very much. I'm very proud of our teams (Go Spirit!), and really enjoyed watching the teams from Power. Also have to give props to Cheer Explosions Junior level 2 team, and I think it was Pyramids Senior Level 5 they each performed great. One team that impressed me was the Oak Ridge Trojans because I love watching them throw those flyers so high. Loved Pyramids Tiny or Mini team. Go Angelina! Finally got to see you out on that floor. Congratulations you go girl.
