Cheergyms.com isn't going to Jamz Nationals in Vegas?  BOOOOO, I met THE nicest people from 720 there last year.  I love when we see any of the cheergyms.com groups because they are always so nice and positive.  That is one group I do not mind at all sitting next to.

OC Mom are you going to Jamz Vegas.... you guys were great to be around too!

I heard several programs are choosing NOT to attend jamz nationals. Its unfortunate because for me, I really used to like jamz. Over the years they have become repetitive and WAYYYYYYY too long. I only speak for myself when I say this, but Im thankful that were not going! I dont know why cheergyms isn't going ..

The only reason that we're not attending JAMZ Nationals this year is because of scheduling conflicts.  We love JAMZ.  Their National this year happened to fall on top of USA High School Nationals.  All of our coaches will be their with the High School teams that cheergyms.com trains.

Hope everyone has fun!

And there are many of the cheerygyms.com kids that are also on high school teams. So it isn't just the coaches. It is also some of the kids.

I don't know of any programs that are intentionally staying away from Jamz Nationals in Vegas; I think if anything it is increasing in popularity.  They have some issues with their award ceremonies (way too long, way too late), but other than that it's one of the better Nationals to attend in my opinion.  We always have a blast there, and it looks like there will be great competition yet again judging by who has mentioned they are attending.  But I do agree with the complaints about the awards, I hope they've made some changes this season.

I know alot of people that were disappointed with Jamz Nationals last year because of the long day.
I am very happy to see them spread it out this year.

yea, I like Vegas too.  My hubby doesn't seem to mind all the money he puts out during the season..... if he gets to end the season in Vegas.  The USA Disneyland one....almost killed my daughters cheering!!!!  LOL  I am glad that they changed the the layout for the comp... I know it was hard on some of the teams, however now our gym is going to be all over the place.... every day and at both venues..... so that part kind of stinks cause I am spoiled and I want to see all of our teams (or most of) on the same day with all of our PARENTS doing what we do!!

We will miss you in Vegas Cheergyms, good luck to all your teams and coaches!

Well my program for onw is one that wont be attending, and there is another gym that I know of that has ALWAYS attended jamz competitions and feels the same as as .. Hopefully they will take in consideration some of the past years problems (ie competing at 12am) and turn them into a positive.

I stand corrected, I didn't realize there were teams boycotting it.  I just know many gyms who are going and assumed it was just as popular if not more than previous years.   While the awards situation and the lateness of it (and how long it seemed to drag on) was very annoying, it hasn't been enough for our gym to decide not to go.  But if they don't make changes this season and/or things get worse, we may do the same.   So far they're moving in the right direction, spreading it out and not trying to cram everything into one night.  We'll see how it goes!

The only thing I am not happy about this year is the dance teams are performing at the Alladin on Friday.  So you have to pay 2 different entrance fees.  & I am not too sure on schedule conflicts yet...2 of the kids on our mini hip hop team are also on the mini cheer team that will also be perfoming the same day but at the Orleans.

OC has the same problem and that's just not ok. Maybe we can suggest a PARK HOPPER pass like Disneyland does???

Hello All,

I must chime in with my 2 cents about Jamz.  I was at Jamz last year, all 3 days..  Yes, there are things that could change for the better.  (1. Performance times ran too late, 2.  Allowing parents to photograph closer to the performance, 3. And possibly changing up the Opening and Closing ceremonies - I witnessed the same ceremonies about 6 or 7 times.

Jamz was my first competition in about 5 or 6 years of being a cheer dad where I really felt like my Daughter had earned a National Championship when she went on stage and Won that Jamz Jacket.  Seemed as though every division had plenty of competition.  Jamz staff was hoisting some of the girls into the air.  It appeared to me, that Jamz made those winners feel very special when they went on stage for their 1st place trophy's.  For me the competition was alot of fun overall, and watching my daughteer and her team acheive the jacket and go on stage, was awesome.

The Energy of the Awards, and the tumbling by Jamz statf was very cool, and alot of fun.  I am very much looking forward to attending this year.

All of the positive aspects of Jamz made it the best overall competition for me.  Personal preference, I suppose.

Although, I must say, Fierce Dads had a great time this past Sunday at Cheerpros in Long Beach.    It's all about our Daughters..

Take care, All.

You are so right FierceCheerDad.  We were also fortunate enough to see our daughter win at Jamz Nationals, in a very tough division.  Let me tell you, she wore that jacket for the rest of the school year.  Seeing her team go on stage under the lights, having their picture taken, and seeing the Jamz staff being so supportive was something we will never forget.  It makes the trip there so worthwhile.  We have been to numerous competitions and we are attending numerous ones this season, but Jamz is the Nationals they want to win.  They must be doing something right!
